It was being felt by many oral pathologists that they need a forum through which they can communicate within themselves and also to the rest of the dental community of Pakistan and deliver and share their research and activities.

An initiative was taken in order to bring the oral pathologists of Pakistan under one platform and a seed was bowed by initiating a society with the name of Pakistan Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology (PSOMP).

Since its inception that was 29 th July, 2013 there has been numerous activities held by this society. Many were conducted by central council and many under the different provincial councils which made good impact countrywide and recognition of this field was made successfully. I am proud to be part of these activities as a simple member. Today I being the 3 rd President of the Society feel honored to lead such an esteemed organization and pray to play my role in further uplifting this field and promoting research and academics. I am also privileged to launch this website and pray this to become highly informative and source of knowledge for the years to come.
